Thursday 20th

Fletch and Neil arrive Dublin. A few bars starting nearby. Kings Inn Guinness of the day closely following to Temple Bar area at the Palace. Irish stew meal then caught up with Broady, Di and Maz.

Friday 21st

Visit Trinity College university and walk around St Stephen’s Green scene of history uprising Irish v English.

Back into town catch up with Broadies . Kings inn on the way met at Cobberstone Irish music at Glimmer man, Walshes finally Brazen Head

Saturday 22nd

Pick up car – upgrade to Corolla hybrid automatic off to Belfast. Visit a range of pubs.

Sunday 23

Visit Titanic experience then hop on hop off bus. We hopped off at Falls Road and walked for hour and half. Ulster memorials mural of Bobby Sands,peace wall and Belfast peace wall 5:30 start at Bobby McGees

Quite surreal walking for 2 hours and seeing all of the murals and in many cases explanations of what happened form a different perspective during the “Troubles”

Peace walls are locked up in the evening. These are a spin off from the original Troubles murals and showcase a range of “people” issues around the world.

Monday July 24.

Drove over 300kms and walked 13500 steps all up and down. Visited Carrickfergus castle, Tor Head, the Rope Bridge and the Giants Causeway before arrival 6:30pm at Serendipity.

accommodation. Dinner at Fitzroys, a few pints then good nights sleep.

Tuesday July 25

Walked the Wall city, great history and sights. Then the Bloody Sunday Bogside tour. This is still an ongoing battle by the derry men to get justice for the murder of their citizens by the British army and hired mercenaries used by England.

Wednesday July 26

4 hour drive to Galway for lunch stopping half way at Sligo. Arrived Ennis 4:30 lovely old town pubs galore. Beers and dinner

Thursday July 27

Travelled to Doolin. Walked to pier headed up to Cliffs of Mohr. Home for a rest st 4 then pubbing. Met the crew at Kenny’s grocery and bar, ate Indian than Diamond bar for more Irish music before a last pint at Queens.

Friday July 28

Set off for Killarney found our hotel then a 3.5 hour drive to “the Ring of Kerry”. Single lane roads everywhere almost colliding with tractor. Checked in at 4;00in Killarney Court Hotel. Then pubbing.

Saturday July 29

Late sleep in Killarney wander, rest at home then pubs

Sunday July 30

Left early Barney Castle kissed the stone. Off to Kinsail the Cobb (where Titanic left from) for lunch.

Into Leonardo’s the out for stroll and drinks. Smiley top right thought Fletch would be a good breakfast menu.

Monday July 31

Hop on hop off trip.

Visited the Norther Cork pubs near Shannon Bells. Murphys, Beamish and Stag Stout to be different pint of choice. Cannot beat guiness though.

Great seafood at Quinlan’s seafood restaurant with a nice wine to finish the trip. Then Fletch experienced his “Where’s my glasses” moment as a trip finale.
